SPLUNK-Admin L2 Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled SPLUNK-Admin L2 Engineer with a minimum of 4 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of SPLUNK administration and will be responsible for managing, configuring, and optimizing SPLUNK environments to ensure high availability and performance. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain SPLUNK environments, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
- Configure and manage SPLUNK data inputs, indexes, and search head clusters.
- Implement and manage SPLUNK apps and add-ons to enhance functionality.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues related to SPLUNK infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain SPLUNK dashboards, reports, and alerts to meet business requirements.
- Collaborate with security and IT teams to integrate SPLUNK with other monitoring and security tools.
- Provide L2 support for SPLUNK-related incidents and requests, ensuring timely resolution.
- Document processes, configurations, and best practices for SPLUNK administration.
- Stay updated with the latest SPLUNK features and industry trends to recommend improvements.
Mandatory Skills
- Proven experience as a SPLUNK Administrator with a strong understanding of SPLUNK architecture and components.
- Hands-on experience in configuring and managing SPLUNK environments.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve complex issues in a timely manner.
- Experience with SPLUNK search language (SPL) and creating custom queries.
- Familiarity with data ingestion methods and managing data sources in SPLUNK.
- Knowledge of security best practices related to SPLUNK administration.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with cloud-based SPLUNK deployments (AWS, Azure, etc.).
- Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Bash) for automation tasks.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and frameworks.
- Experience in integrating SPLUNK with other security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS).
- Certifications related to SPLUNK administration or data analytics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in SPLUNK administration or a similar role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
