PRIME FUNCTION
To drive strategic procurement activities with a strong focus on costing, supplier evaluation, and compliance, while ensuring cost optimization, supplier performance improvement, and adherence to quality and audit standards.
Job Description / Responsibilities
- Perform detailed costing analysis including machining costs, commodity pricing, and use of costing tools.
- Execute techno-commercial negotiations with suppliers to achieve cost efficiency and value optimization.
- Manage supplier evaluation, development, and performance monitoring to ensure quality, cost, and delivery targets are met.
- Conduct and support supplier audits, customer audits, and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as IATF and ESG requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for procurement planning and execution.
- Utilize SAP (MM Module) for procurement processes, reporting, and documentation.
- Identify cost reduction opportunities and implement continuous improvement initiatives in procurement.
AUTHORITY
- Authorized to negotiate with suppliers within defined commercial limits.
- Evaluate and recommend suppliers based on performance and compliance criteria.
- Participate in audits and represent the purchase function during reviews.
- Escalate critical procurement and supplier-related issues to management.
JOB SPECIFICATION / COMPETENCY
- Experience: 4–5 years in Purchase/Procurement (preferably in manufacturing)
- Education: BE in Mechanical Engineering
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of costing (machining, commodity pricing, costing tools)
- Working knowledge of SAP (MM Module)
- Understanding of IATF standards and ESG practices
- Functional Skills:
- Techno-commercial negotiation
- Supplier evaluation and supplier development
- Audit handling (supplier, customer, and external audits)

- Effective communication and stakeholder management
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving
