Main Purpose
Responsible for supporting the Lead Panel Engineer in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of onshore facilities through the DCS and ICSS control systems. The role also involves assisting the Lead Panel Engineer in preparing operational reports, reviewing SOPs, and updating work instructions to support reliable and compliant operations.
Job Accountabilities
- Ensure 100% compliance with Reliance One procedures, standards, and operating guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with OMS, Control of Work, PTW systems, and other operational requirements.
- Monitor and troubleshoot process systems to achieve daily production targets; support start-up, shutdown, upset handling, and emergency response activities related to subsea systems.
- Troubleshoot operational issues to minimize downtime and prepare permits and certificates as required.
- Ensure accurate recording and logging of operational data and system information.
- Prepare and update operational documentation including SOPs, checklists, and operations logbooks. Prepare and update procedures for equipment isolation, flushing (where required), nitrogen purging, and handover for maintenance activities.
- Update interlock bypass records on a daily basis and highlight deviations for corrective actions.
- Execute HOTO activities through OMPRO.
- Monitor process alarms and support alarm rationalization initiatives.
- Participate in emergency response exercises and mock drills.
- Update process override records and MOS status on a daily basis.
- Monitor chemical consumption and prepare sustainability-related reports and analyses.
Skills Required (Knowledge & Skills)
- Good knowledge of DCS operations and control systems.
- Understanding of oil & gas processing facilities and subsea operations.
- Knowledge of Control of Work and Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively with Intervention, Controls, Subsurface, and other cross-functional teams.
- Ability to respond effectively to operational emergencies and abnormal situations.
- Knowledge of HOTO processes and operations management through OMPRO.
- Strong teamwork, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
Qualifications
• BE/B.Tech in Chemical Engineering or Petroleum Engineering from a recognized university.
Specific Experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience in oil & gas processing facilities, subsea control systems, or onshore operations.
Overall Experience
• 6–7 years of relevant experience in the oil & gas industry.
