Role Description The Senior Engineer / Lead – MEP (PHE & Firefighting) is a full-time, on-site role based in Navi Mumbai. This position is responsible for leading the design, coordination, and implementation of Public Health Engineering (PHE) and Firefighting systems for industrial and commercial projects, ensuring compliance with national and international standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing detailed MEP drawings, conducting hydraulic calculations, reviewing and approving vendor designs, and coordinating with civil, structural, and electrical teams to integrate services seamlessly. The role involves overseeing site execution, conducting inspections, resolving technical issues, and supporting commissioning of PHE and Firefighting systems. The Senior Engineer / Lead will also mentor junior engineers, interact with clients and consultants, and contribute to continuous improvement of safety, efficiency, and reliability in all MEP-related activities.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in Retail Loss Prevention and Quantitative Risk to support risk assessment and mitigation strategies within projects.
- Candidates should possess skills in Alarm Systems and IP CCTV to integrate safety, monitoring, and emergency response solutions with Firefighting and PHE systems.
- Candidates should possess skills in Process Safety to ensure safe design, operation, and maintenance of pressure systems and related MEP installations.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline, with specialization or strong exposure to MEP, PHE, and Firefighting systems.
- Proven experience leading MEP design and execution for industrial or commercial projects, including familiarity with relevant codes (NFPA, NBC, IS standards, plumbing codes).
- Proficiency in CAD and BIM tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and capability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings.
