Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Engineer at our Plastic Machinery Plant located in Bhiwandi. The Senior Engineer will be responsible for overseeing machinery installation, maintenance, and service operations, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, leading a team of technicians, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects. He will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize production processes and ensure adherence to quality standards for plastic machinery manufacturing.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Machine Design, Maintenance, and Troubleshooting
- Experience with Manufacturing Processes and Quality Standards
- Strong skills in Project Management and Team Leadership
- Knowledge of Plastic Machinery Operations and Industrial Automation
- Proficiency in using CAD software and technical drawings
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Previous experience in a similar role in the plastic machinery industry is preferred
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities (KRA's)
1. Production & Plant Operations
- Oversee end-to-end plant assembly and ensure mechanical accuracy.
- Supervise daily production activities and allocate tasks to technicians.
- Ensure timely delivery of machines and adherence to production schedules.
- Take full responsibility for plant output, efficiency, and staff coordination.
2. Quality Assurance
- Verify incoming supplies and components dimensionally before approval.
- Approve or reject materials based on quality standards.
- Conduct random and frequent mechanical assembly checks to ensure compliance.
- Maintain documentation of inspections and approvals.
3. Technical Support
- Assist technicians in resolving day-to-day mechanical and assembly issues.
- Provide guidance in electrical wiring and machine testing.
- Support installation and commissioning of machines at customer sites.
- Troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance at client locations.
4. Team Leadership & Coordination
- Lead a team of technicians and ensure smooth workflow.
- Train junior staff on assembly, testing, and maintenance procedures.
- Act as the primary point of contact between management and shop floor staff.
- Promote a culture of safety, discipline, and accountability.
5. Compliance & Confidentiality
- Work under a non-disclosure agreement to protect company designs.
- Ensure adherence to industry safety standards and company policies.
- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary processes and designs.
