Senior Engineer - Automotive Cybersecurity TestingNeST Digitalfull-timeRequired skillsPKIAUTOSARcomplianceethernetregressionRoot Cause AnalysisAbout the role NeST Digital Website: nestdigital.com Job details: Requirements of this RolePerform functional and security validation testing of automotive cybersecurity features across ECUs, HPCs, gateways, and vehicle networks.Write, review, and execute detailed functional and cybersecurity test cases based on system requirements, cybersecurity concepts, and OEM specifications.Develop and maintain CAPL scripts and automated test frameworks for validating automotive security functionalities.Validate implementation and behaviour of security features such as Secure Onboard Communication (SecOC), Immobilizer, Secure Diagnostics/SOVD, Secure Flashing, FOTA, and Digital Signature mechanisms.Verify cryptographic operations including MAC generation/verification, certificate validation, digital signatures, secure boot interactions, and key exchange mechanismsValidate Key Management Specifications including provisioning, storage, update, rotation, and revocation of cryptographic keys and certificates.Perform testing and analysis of MACsec implementation for secure Automotive Ethernet communication.Validate Security Event Logging and IDS functionalities including event generation, threat detection, logging accuracy, and alert handlingCreate and maintain test reports, defect reports, traceability matrices, and validation documentation aligned with project and compliance requirements.Support requirement analysis, cybersecurity reviews, issue debugging, root cause analysis, and validation of fixes with development and architecture teams.Participate in integration, regression, and vehicle-level testing activities for cybersecurity feature validation.Skills And QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science or related field.3-10 years of experience in Automotive Functional Security Testing, ECU Validation, or Automotive Cybersecurity Testing.Strong understanding of automotive communication protocols such as CAN, CAN FD, LIN, Automotive Ethernet, UDS, and DoIP.Hands-on experience in validating cybersecurity features including SecOC, Secure Diagnostics/SOVD, Immobilizer, Secure Flashing, FOTA, Digital Signatures, and IDS/Event Logging.Experience in writing detailed test cases, test specifications, and validation procedures for automotive systems.Strong hands-on experience in CAPL scripting and automation using CANoe/CANalyzer or similar automotive validation tools.Knowledge of cryptographic concepts including symmetric/asymmetric encryption, MAC, hashing, PKI, certificates, and key management.Familiarity with Automotive Ethernet security concepts such as MACsec and secure communication architectures.Familiarity with cybersecurity standards and regulations such as ISO/SAE 21434, UNECE R155/R156, AUTOSAR, and OEM cybersecurity requirements.Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.Ability to prepare clear technical reports and communicate findings with technical teams.
