Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Senior Engineer role based in Hyderabad. The Senior Engineer will oversee the technical performance and reliability of renewable energy assets, including monitoring plant operations, analyzing performance data, and identifying opportunities for optimization. The role involves coordinating with internal teams and external vendors for preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting technical issues, and implementing engineering solutions that improve efficiency and uptime. The Senior Engineer will support project lifecycle activities such as design review, technical due diligence, and commissioning of new assets, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. The position also includes preparing technical reports, documenting best practices, mentoring junior team members, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the portfolio.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in core engineering disciplines such as electrical, mechanical, or renewable energy engineering, with hands-on experience in power plants or renewable assets (solar, wind, or related technologies).
- Proficiency in performance analysis, data interpretation, and use of monitoring or SCADA systems to diagnose issues and optimize plant operations.
- Experience with project engineering tasks, including design review, technical specifications, vendor coordination, and support during installation and commissioning.
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and compliance requirements for power and renewable energy projects.
- Demonstrated ability to lead or mentor engineering teams, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including preparation of technical reports, presentations, and documentation for internal and external audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Renewable Energy, or related field); a master’s degree or relevant certifications in renewable energy or project management is an advantage.
- Prior experience in the renewable energy sector in India, particularly utility-scale solar or wind, is highly desirable.
