The Automotive Practice at Epsilon is a rapidly growing team, driving growth for major players in the automotive industry - from Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to dealerships across North America. As a Senior Email Developer for Epsilon, you will implement best practices in coding/development of email campaigns for our clients, delivering long-term solutions for email production efficiency and accuracy, provide solutions for fellow development team members, as well as create advanced email campaigns. You may also have opportunity to drive enterprise-scale websites and web-based applications. You must have recent and demonstratable experience coding for Iterable ESP and specifically the Handlebars scripting language.

Responsibilities
- Apply HTML/CSS and email marketing best practices to create and code interactive experiences for email.
- Create complex email templates with mobile responsiveness.
- Implement long term solutions to help with efficiency and accuracy (coding tools, additions to EPT library, process changes).
- Drive the development team to use latest Web standards to build solutions.
- Create best-practices standards and documentation.
- Assist creative team to push boundaries on design possibilities.
- Act as a mentor for Junior Developers and offshore teams.
- Proactively work with teammates to improve processes and work methods for greater efficiency.
Qualifications
Required Technical Skills:
- 5+ years writing HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/jQuery.
- Good understanding of adaptive and responsive coding techniques Media queries, Viewports, and mobile specific coding.
- Solid Experience with Image and HTML Coding Optimization for email.
- Conversion from PSD/Figma/XD to HTML, with email standards.
- Experience using testing tools such as Litmus, Email on Acid, etc.
- Good sense of visual design (while you may not be an expert with Photoshop or Illustrator, you still have an eye for aesthetics).
- Ability to write functions/macros in language like Handlebars, AMP Script (SFMC)/JavaScript (Adobe Campaign Classic)/Freemarker (Harmony).
It’s a plus to have:
- Experience with JavaScript libraries and frameworks like jQuery, ReactJS.
- Knowledge of server-side technologies like Python, PHP and MySQL is a plus.
- Successful track record of delivering solutions within realistic budget and schedule requirements.
- Abilities to draft both Functional and Technical Specifications documents, as needed.
