Senior Electrical Design Engineer - Power Transformer
The opportunity
As an Electrical Design Engineer specializing in Power Transformer Design at the Power Transformer Factory in Vadodara, India, you’ll be part of a dynamic team that values innovation, diversity, and collaboration. How you’ll make an impact
- The success candidate will be the part of an Design and Engineering Team specialized in Power Transformer up to 800 kV class.
- Influence specification at the order stage, through conceptual discussions.
- Responsible to prepare electrical order design meeting factory limitation, guideline, and checklist as per IEEE / IEC /IS standards as per project schedule.
- Responsible for Preparation of Customer documents, Manufacturing documents, Bill of materials etc. as per project schedule.
- Supporting production teams during manufacturing, assisting in testing activities, and providing technical expertise to overcome challenges or resolve issues.
- Coordinating design activities within a worldwide factories network.
- Participation in internal design concept reviews.
- Demonstrated team building skills and networking skills, would be a preference.
- Ability to speak with and work together with the technical teams in different parts of the world.

Your background
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 5 -15 years’ experience working in Electrical design for Power Transformers manufacturing Industry.
- Understanding of Transformer Electrical Design, Thermal, Dielectrics, Short circuit and sound performance and transformer mechanics
- Should have good understanding of IS/ IEC /IEEE Standards.
- Experience in Simulation or software development would be advantageous.
- Experience on Microsoft office and tools.
- Ability to speak with and work together with the technical teams in different parts of the world.
- Demonstrated team building skills, would be a preference.
- Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
