Senior Design Engineer – Electrical
Primary Responsibilities
- Responsible for designing and developing electrical systems and components.
- Providing design support for various electrical services (HT/LT/ELV/ICA, etc.), including design calculations, conceptual design drawings, and detailed electrical schematics and diagrams.
- Overseeing the project’s conception, design, and specifications, and managing scheduling, estimating, and securing materials.
- Ensuring proposals comply with the company’s quality procedures, client requirements, and relevant/latest industry standards, international codes, planned timelines, allotted budget, company strategy, and goals.
- Ensuring all paperwork submissions (e.g., Vendor Approval Submission, Project Reports, Schedule submission) and work executed on site are in accordance with specifications, drawings, and project requirements.
- Monitoring and carrying out quality checks on progressively completed work.
- Coordinating with clients and consultants on technical requirements, and attending technical discussions and meetings with authorities, the developer, and contractors.
- Coordinating with subcontractors, suppliers, and own teams, including group representatives, for project implementation, ensuring work is built correctly and delivered on time.
- Representing the company at technical meetings with clients and stakeholders, and serving as the company's technical representative to clients and suppliers.
- Working closely with the procurement team and suppliers.
- Performing other ad hoc duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Key Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar role in the field of Building Service Engineering, along with a minimum of 03 years of work experience in Maldives.
- Fluency in MS Project, Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office
- Good communication and public relations skills
- The selected candidate will be required to work on our projects in Maldives
