The Role
We're looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead design work on E-Houses, Power Distribution Center (PDC) buildings, and MV/LV switchgear projects for US clients. You'll own technical deliverables end-to-end and mentor junior engineers.
Responsibilities
- Design LV and MV switchgear lineups, MCCs, and switchboards per UL and ANSI standards
- Develop E-House and PDC building layouts including equipment arrangement, cable routing, grounding, lighting, HVAC coordination, and fire detection
- Produce single-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and nameplate schedules
- Perform short-circuit, coordination, and arc flash studies (ETAP/SKM)
- Review vendor drawings and coordinate with mechanical, structural, and controls disciplines
- Interface directly with US clients on design reviews, RFIs, and submittals
- Mentor junior engineers and review their deliverables
Required Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering; 8+ years of design experience
- Hands-on experience designing E-Houses, PDC buildings, and MV/LV switchgear
- Working knowledge of UL 891, UL 1558, UL 845, UL 508A, UL 1008
- Strong grasp of NEC (NFPA 70), IEEE, NEMA, and ANSI C37 standards
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; familiarity with Revit/Inventor a plus
- Experience with short-circuit and arc flash software (ETAP, SKM, EasyPower)
- Clear written and spoken English; comfortable on client calls with US teams
Preferred
- Data center electrical design experience
- Exposure to IEC standards alongside North American codes
- Prior experience working with US OEMs or EPCs
