About the Role
As Senior EIA Executive, you will own the end-to-end coordination of Environmental Impact Assessment activities for projects and operational requirements. You will manage technical inputs, consultant outputs, regulatory submissions, stakeholder responses, and approval tracking through structured plans and documentation systems. The role connects environmental science with business execution: identifying risks early, maintaining evidence-based compliance, and enabling projects to progress within statutory requirements. You will partner with project, operations, legal, engineering, and external consulting teams to translate regulations into actionable controls. Success means predictable EIA delivery, high-quality submissions, timely closure of authority observations, and reduced environmental and approval risk for the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Own EIA planning and delivery across assigned projects, controlling scope, timelines, technical inputs, and submission quality so environmental approvals support predictable project execution.
- Manage consultants and specialist studies, reviewing baseline data, impact assessments, management plans, and technical reports for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory defensibility.
- Coordinate applications, permissions, presentations, and responses with relevant authorities, maintaining action trackers that improve turnaround time and closure of observations.
- Establish evidence-based compliance records, linking approval conditions to responsible owners, milestones, monitoring requirements, and escalation mechanisms across operating and project teams.
- Identify environmental and approval risks early through structured reviews, recommending mitigation measures that protect continuity, reduce rework, and strengthen stakeholder confidence.
- Prepare management updates, dashboards, and decision notes that clearly communicate EIA status, dependencies, risks, upcoming commitments, and required interventions.
- Build effective working relationships with internal functions, consultants, communities, and regulators to resolve issues constructively and maintain project momentum.
- Support audits, inspections, renewals, and regulatory reviews by ensuring records, monitoring results, commitments, and corrective actions remain current and traceable.
Essential Skills & Technologies
- Strong knowledge of EIA processes, environmental legislation, consent and approval mechanisms, environmental management plans, monitoring requirements, and regulatory documentation in India.
- Practical capability in technical report review, baseline data interpretation, impact assessment, consultant management, statutory submissions, and closure of authority observations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, trackers, dashboards, and document-control practices used to manage complex compliance deliverables.
Additional Plus
- Experience supporting infrastructure, manufacturing, cement, mining, or other environmentally regulated projects with multiple stakeholders and statutory dependencies.
- Familiarity with GIS tools, environmental monitoring databases, emissions or water assessments, and digital compliance-management systems.
- Experience coordinating public consultation, stakeholder engagement, site visits, inspections, audits, or environmental clearance amendments and renewals.
