Job Summary:
The Ecommerce Payment & Accounts Reconciliation Executive is responsible for ensuring accurate reconciliation of payments received and made through various payment gateways and channels. This includes identifying discrepancies, resolving issues, maintaining financial records, and handling key accounting functions such as GST working, payment reconciliation, and sales data preparation for marketplaces.
Key Responsibilities:
Payment Reconciliation: Reconciling payments received and made through various payment gateways and channels, including the Outright module, marketplaces, and brand websites.
Discrepancy Identification: Identifying discrepancies between the amount received and the amount expected and investigating the reasons behind them.
Issue Resolution: Working with internal teams and external partners to resolve payment-related issues, such as chargebacks, refunds, and transaction failures.
GST Working: Handling GST calculations, tax compliance, and filing requirements related to ecommerce transactions.
Sales Data Preparation: Preparing and maintaining sales data for marketplaces and brand websites to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Record Maintenance: Maintaining accurate records of all financial transactions, including invoices, receipts, payment reports, and reconciliations.
Reporting: Preparing regular reports on payment reconciliation status and financial records for senior management.
Compliance: Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and policies related to payment processing, reconciliation, and taxation.
Collaboration: Working closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and customer service, to ensure smooth payment processing and reconciliation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
3-4 years of experience in payment & sales reconciliation and accounting in an ecommerce or financial services setting.
Knowledge of payment gateways, processing fees, settlement cycles, and GST regulations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Employment Type: Full Time
Office Timing: 09:15 AM to 06:30 PM
Working Days: Monday to Saturday (2nd & 4th Saturday Off)
