Assistant Vice President – .NET / SQL Developer
ISPL GM IT – POS, Risk & Collateral – IT
Location: Bengaluru, India
Role Purpose
As an Assistant Vice President – Senior .NET Developer you will lead the design, development, and enhancement of mission‑critical applications for the ISPL GM IT PnL‑Dev team. You will collaborate with Business Analysts, developers and stakeholders across geographies to deliver high‑quality, scalable solutions that meet the roadmap targets and the evolving needs of the business.
Key Responsibilities
Core Activities -What You’ll Do
Full‑stack .NET development
Build new features and improve existing functionality using C#.Net, ASP.Net MVC, WPF, WCF/Web API and related patterns.
Database design & optimisation
Write efficient T‑SQL, develop stored procedures, and create SSRS reports on SQL Server.
Cross‑functional collaboration
Work in a “One‑Team” model with BAs and developers across locations; translate specifications into clean, production‑ready code.
Quality & governance
Enforce architectural standards, ensure adequate unit‑test coverage, and conduct peer‑code reviews.
Release & support
Coordinate with the APS team for pre‑ and post‑release validation; provide timely production support and resolve user queries.
Knowledge sharing
Maintain the application wiki, mentor junior team members and champion continuous‑learning initiatives.
Technical debt & process improvement
Identify, prioritise and remediate technical debt; suggest and implement process enhancements.
Desired Technical Skillset
- C#.Net (minimum 12 years)
- ASP.Net MVC / WPF (UI development)
- WCF / Web API / Web Services (service‑oriented architecture)
- SQL Server – T‑SQL, SSRS, performance tuning
- Python (scripting, data‑processing or automation tasks – a plus)
- Familiarity with Pattern & Practices (OO‑design, SOLID, Agile, DevOps)
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
- ≥ 12 years of professional experience delivering end‑to‑end .NET solutions in a financial‑services environment (or comparable domain).
