What’s the Role?
We are looking for a Sr.Director/VP, Engineering to join one of our client's Technology team in Bangalore, India. In this role, you will provide both strategic and tactical leadership across a portfolio of business initiatives and the global organization.
You will contribute to business development, drive team growth, and oversee internal and global initiatives—ensuring expansion of the client base while evolving processes, people, and teams. You will also champion continuous learning, experiment with emerging technologies, and promote adoption across teams and the broader organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Guide technology initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals and client needs.
- Team Mentorship & Leadership: Foster a culture of curiosity, technical excellence, and open dialogue while developing future leaders and strengthening team capabilities.
- Innovation & Technology Adoption: Stay updated with emerging technologies, including AI and AI-powered development tools, and drive their adoption in line with global standards and policies.
- Complex Problem Solving: Simplify and communicate complex technical challenges and solutions across cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Development Lifecycle Oversight: Maintain a strong understanding of the end-to-end development lifecycle, support delivery proposals, and act as an escalation point when required.
- Business Development: Collaborate with global teams to propose innovative solutions, contribute to strategic planning, and evaluate financial implications for new opportunities.
- Delivery Excellence: Support resource planning and delivery efficiency, ensuring high-quality and timely project execution. In the near term, this role will balance program delivery and technical excellence.
- Startup Mindset: Operate with agility—embracing progress over perfection, calculated risk-taking, and adaptability within a global framework.
What We’re Looking For
- Technological Expertise: Proven ability to implement and scale modern and emerging technologies, with a strong focus on continuous learning and application. Experience with platforms such as Adobe, Salesforce, Optimizely, Sitecore, and Contentful is preferred.
- Ideation & Collaboration: Strong partnership with creative and business teams, with the ability to conceptualize and execute transformative ideas.
- Client Relationship Management: Demonstrated experience in building and managing relationships with senior stakeholders including CMOs, CIOs, and technical leaders.
- Leadership Experience: 10+ years of experience leading diverse, high-performing teams and driving organizational success.
