Sr. Director of Engineering, Enterprise Data & Analytics
Job Summary
The
Senior Director, Enterprise Data & Analytics will lead and expand the India‑based EDA practice, driving enterprise data strategy, analytics innovation, and modern data platform capabilities for The Standard. In this role, you will oversee architecture, data engineering, data science and reporting & analytics competencies to support enterprise priorities across digital transformation, customer experience, actuarial modernization, operational excellence, and new product innovation.
You will define and deliver strategic analytics roadmaps, partner closely with U.S.‑based business and technology leaders, scale high‑performing teams, and ensure the India EDA practice operates as a core extension of the global function delivering measurable business outcomes.
- Ability to work on‑site in Bengaluru, India is a requirement of the role.
Mode of Working: This role follows a hybrid work model with a primary base in Bengaluru; onsite presence is essential for key engagements.
Skills And Background You’ll Need
Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, MIS, Analytics, or a related field is required.
Experience: 15+ years of progressive experience in data & analytics, including 10+ years in leadership roles is required.
- Experience leading large, multi‑disciplinary analytical teams: data engineering, data science, BI/reporting, and analytics product development is required.
- Demonstrated success driving digital transformation and measurable business value through advanced analytics is required.
- Deep hands‑on understanding of modern cloud data ecosystems (Azure, big data platforms, ML/AI environments) is required.
- Experience operating within a global delivery / GCC model and partnering with U.S.‑based leaders is required.
- Leading analytics innovation initiatives and scaling analytical organizations in enterprise environments is preferred.
- Experience with data governance, quality management, metadata, compliance, and data platform modernization is preferred.
- Experience with Agile delivery methodologies (e.g., SAFe, iterative delivery models) is preferred.
