Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Digital Marketing Strategist (Freelancer) based in India to take the helm of our client's digital marketing initiatives.
This is a high-impact, executive-facing role requiring 10+ years of experience. You will not just be taking orders; you will act as a true strategic consultant. You will analyze both user needs and business objectives, push back constructively when necessary, and design comprehensive digital marketing plans. Once approved by US-based executives, you will partner closely with our SFMC Tech Lead to ensure your strategies are flawlessly executed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Drive the end-to-end digital marketing strategy to achieve measurable business outcomes. Translate complex business goals into actionable, multi-channel marketing plans.
- Executive Consultation: Act as a strategic advisor to US-based executive teams. Ask the right probing questions, present your strategies clearly, gather feedback, and confidently advocate for the best approaches that balance user needs with business reality.
- Campaign & Platform Strategy: Design and oversee strategies leveraging Claravine for campaign management , Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) for complex customer journeys , as well as Google Ads and Meta Ads for targeted paid media.
- Cross-Functional Execution: Work hand-in-hand with the SFMC Tech Lead and development teams to transition your high-level strategies into executed technical deliverables.
- SEO & AEO Excellence: Incorporate advanced Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) tactics to capture high-intent traffic and adapt to the evolving search landscape.
- Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor campaign performance, adjusting strategies based on data-driven insights to maximize ROI and business impact.
Requirements:
- Experience: 10+ years of proven experience in digital marketing strategy, performance marketing, and campaign management at an enterprise level.
- Consultative Mindset: Strong ability to consult with business leaders, understand core needs, and confidently say "no" or pivot direction when an approach isn't in the best interest of the business or user.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written English skills. You must be highly articulate, persuasive, and comfortable presenting directly to C-level and executive stakeholders in a US-based company.
- Technical Acumen: Deep strategic understanding of Claravine , SFMC, Meta Ads, and Google Ads. You don't need to be the developer, but you must know how to leverage these platforms to achieve strategic goals.
- Search Expertise: Demonstrated success in both traditional SEO and modern AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) strategies.
- Freelance Setup: Must be based in India with the flexibility to overlap with US time zones for key executive meetings and collaboration with the Tech Lead.
