JOB DESCRIPTION:
At Oolio, Senior DevOps Engineers play a critical role in building and evolving our cloud-native platform that powers mission-critical B2B SaaS applications. You will focus on designing, building, and operating scalable, secure, and self-service infrastructure platforms that enable engineering teams to ship faster and more reliably.
This is not a traditional operations or support-focused DevOps role. We are looking for engineers who think in terms of platforms — individuals who can abstract complexity, build reusable infrastructure, and enable developers through automation, standardization, and strong engineering practices.
You will work closely with Product Engineering, Platform, and Security teams to improve developer experience, streamline delivery workflows, and build a robust, Kubernetes-first, GitOps-driven infrastructure ecosystem.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, build, and manage scalable, production-grade Kubernetes platforms for multi-service environments.
- Implement and drive GitOps-based deployment workflows using tools like Argo CD.
- Build and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform to provision and manage cloud infrastructure.
- Develop and standardize CI/CD pipelines and package management workflows across teams.
- Create reusable infrastructure modules, templates, and self-service capabilities for developers.
- Improve developer productivity by simplifying environment provisioning, deployments, and operational workflows.
- Establish best practices for deployment strategies (canary, blue/green, rollbacks) and release safety.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure applications are designed for scalability, reliability, and operability on the platform.
- Enhance platform observability (metrics, logs, tracing) to provide actionable insights for engineering teams.
- Drive automation across infrastructure and operations to reduce manual effort and operational overhead.
- Ensure platform security, compliance, and governance standards are consistently enforced.
- Support and troubleshoot platform-level issues across infrastructure, networking, and deployments.
- Participate in architecture discussions to influence cloud-native design and platform evolution.
- Mentor engineers and promote a culture of ownership, automation, and platform thinking.
REQUIREMENTS:
Role: Senior DevOps Engineer - final role will depend on candidate experience, credentials and interview outcomes
Experience: 9 - 15 Years overall experience
(minimum 6–7 years in Platform Engineering / DevOps / Production Engineering roles (+ Plus) minimum 3–4 years strong backend development experience)
Education: Preferred – B.Sc/M.Sc/B.Tech/B.E/M.Tech/M.E/MCA/M.S
Technology Stack: Kubernetes (EKS/AKS), AWS and/or Azure, Argo CD, Terraform, Helm, Docker, CI/CD (GitHub Actions/Jenkins), Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/Splunk, Go/Python/Java, Bash, Distributed Systems, Networking (DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS), Infrastructure Security, Observability, Reliability Engineering, Incident Management, Cloud Architecture, Scalability Engineering
Other Requirements:
- Strong background in backend or systems engineering with transition into DevOps / Platform roles.
- Hands-on experience building and operating Kubernetes-based platforms in production.
- Strong experience with GitOps practices and tools (e.g., Argo CD).
- Proven expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code, especially using Terraform.
- Solid understanding of CI/CD systems and package management ecosystems.
- Strong knowledge of distributed systems, scalability, and cloud-native architecture.
- Experience improving developer workflows through automation and platform abstractions.
- Familiarity with observability tools (metrics, logging, tracing) and operational visibility practices.
- Good understanding of networking, security, and cloud infrastructure fundamentals.
- Experience in high-scale, multi-tenant SaaS environments is a strong plus.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across application and infrastructure layers.
- Ability to influence teams and drive adoption of platform best practices.
- Automation-first mindset with focus on scalability, consistency, and developer experience.
