Senior DevOps Engineer (Azure / GitHub)
We are looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to lead and scale the cloud infrastructure in a production-grade Agentic AI platform running on Microsoft Azure.
In this role, you will own the cloud architecture, CI/CD pipelines, security controls, and release engineering that power our Python APIs, modern front-end applications, and AI agent services.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Cloud Infrastructure & Platform Engineering
- Design and manage Azure infrastructure including App Service (Linux), Static Web Apps, Azure SQL, Key Vault, and Azure Monitor.
- Build scalable and secure environments using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or Bicep).
- Implement multi-environment architecture (Dev, Stage, Production) with governance and cost controls.
CI/CD & Release Engineering
- Build and maintain GitHub Actions pipelines for backend, frontend, and AI agent deployments.
- Enable automated testing, security checks, and quality gates within CI/CD workflows.
- Manage blue/green deployments, environment promotions, and rollback strategies.
Security & Compliance
- Implement Entra ID authentication, RBAC, managed identities, and private endpoints.
- Integrate secret management through Azure Key Vault and security scanning with GitHub Advanced Security.
- Ensure secure release processes aligned with governance policies.
Observability & Reliability
- Implement monitoring using Azure Monitor and Application Insights.
- Create dashboards and alerts for API performance, system errors, workflow failures, and AI tool reliability.
- Define and track SLOs, incident response processes, and runbooks.
Quality & Testing
- Establish testing strategies including unit and integration testing, API contract testing, UI smoke testing, and agent evaluation checks before production releases.
Collaboration
- Work closely with product and engineering teams to define DevOps processes, release workflows, and system reliability standards.
Key Outcomes (First 6–12 Months)
- Secure and scalable Azure Landing Zone for enterprise use.
- Robust GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines for backend, frontend, and AI agents.
- Policy-driven quality gates and observability frameworks.
- Reliable weekly releases with rollback capability and MTTR < 30 minutes for critical incidents.
Minimum Qualifications
- 6+ years of DevOps / SRE experience.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Azure (App Service, Static Web Apps, Azure SQL, Key Vault, Azure Monitor).
- Expertise in GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with Terraform or Bicep.
- Strong understanding of cloud security, networking, and identity management.
- Experience implementing monitoring, alerts, and incident response workflows.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Azure AI Foundry / Microsoft Foundry.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Agent Framework or Semantic Kernel.
- Experience with Vue or React front-end CI pipelines.
- Knowledge of SQL performance optimization and database migrations.
