About the Role
Voxy is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to help build, automate, secure, and scale the infrastructure and deployment ecosystem that powers our products and engineering teams.
In this role, you will work closely with developers, engineering leaders, and other technical teams to improve the reliability, scalability, security, performance, and efficiency of Voxy’s development and production environments.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, comfortable owning infrastructure end-to-end, and passionate about automation and operational excellence. You should have strong experience with cloud platforms, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, observability, and Linux-based systems, along with a strong troubleshooting mindset.
What You'll Do
- Design, implement, and maintain reliable and secure infrastructure for development, testing, and production environments.
- Build and improve CI/CD pipelines, enabling faster, safer, and more consistent software delivery.
- Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure, with a strong focus on Azure and exposure to other major cloud platforms.
- Design and manage scalable infrastructure across autoscaling compute, networking, and security controls.
- Build, deploy, and maintain containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform or OpenTofu to automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration.
- Work closely with developers to establish self-service tools and automation that improve engineering productivity.
- Advance our infrastructure and application security posture across hardening, access control, and DevOps security practices.
- Own and scale our monitoring, alerting, logging, and incident-response practice to improve system reliability and observability.
- Maintain and improve production environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability.
- Drive continued platform modernization and help evolve engineering processes toward modern DevOps practices.
- Own backup and disaster recovery — including regular restore testing — alongside system administration and operational resilience.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, networking, and production issues and participate in incident resolution.
- Continuously review existing infrastructure and processes against industry best practices and recommend improvements.
- Work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to improve deployment quality, reliability, and delivery velocity.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and support critical production systems when required.
What We're Looking For
- 3–4 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, Site Reliability Engineering, or a related role.
- Strong practical experience with cloud platforms, preferably Azure.
- Good understanding of Docker and Kubernetes and experience running production workloads in containerized environments.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automating software delivery workflows.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform/OpenTofu or similar Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
- Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
- Good understanding of networking, security, system hardening, and production infrastructure.
- Experience working with distributed systems, microservices, and cloud-native architectures.
- Familiarity with databases, caching, messaging, and supporting infrastructure components is an advantage.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with developers and other engineering teams.
- Good understanding of DevOps principles, automation, reliability, and continuous improvement.
Good to Have
- Experience managing Kubernetes clusters in production (AKS or equivalent).
- Experience operating production datastores, caching layers, message queues, and log/search platforms.
- Experience implementing disaster recovery and business continuity solutions.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and integrating security into CI/CD workflows.
- Experience migrating applications to modern cloud-native environments.
Why Join Voxy?
- Work on infrastructure supporting a modern, cloud-based product and engineering environment.
- Take ownership of meaningful initiatives across DevOps, cloud infrastructure, automation, security, and reliability.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams and influence how applications are built, deployed, and operated.
- Work with modern cloud-native technologies including Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker, and observability platforms.
- Help shape engineering practices around automation, reliability, security, and operational excellence.
- Join a team where engineers are encouraged to solve problems, take ownership, and continuously improve the platform.
- Opportunity to make a direct impact on the scalability, reliability, and developer experience of Voxy’s technology ecosystem.
