Senior Ops Engineer

YOUR TASKS
- You lead the operation of our Kubernetes clusters in production environments and are responsible for deployment, scaling, and troubleshooting.
- You operate our AWS Serverless infrastructure (Lambda, ECS Fargate, API Gateway) with continuous monitoring and rapid incident response.
- You manage Linux hosts, databases, Docker containers, and third-party applications
- You implement monitoring and observability with Prometheus and Grafana (LGTM Stack).
- You automate operational processes through Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform) and continuously optimize the infrastructure.
- You provide 1-Level Operations Support and escalate critical incidents to solutions quickly.
- You document runbooks and best practices to anchor knowledge within the team.
- You mentor your junior engineer and lead complex infrastructure projects (data migration, system upgrades).
- You collaborate with internal and external development teams to establish and implement best practices.
YOUR PROFILE
- You bring 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), or Operations Lead and understand not just tools, but systems.
- You have 3+ years of professional experience in Kubernetes production environments (deployments, networking, storage, security, RBAC, troubleshooting).
- You possess deep knowledge of Linux system administration (kernel, filesystem, networking, performance tuning, security) and apply Ansible and Terraform professionally.
- You have hands-on experience with Prometheus, Grafana, container security, and pod security policies.
- You have a strong problem-solver mindset and systematically analyze root causes to prevent recurrence.
- You can communicate technical decisions clearly to different stakeholders and are passionate about continuous learning and driving the team forward.
- You speak English fluently and can communicate confidently with international teams and the German headquarters.
- You bring practical AWS expertise (Lambda, S3, ECS, IAM, VPC), Helm Charts, on-call experience, or CI/CD pipeline integration (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) as a plus.
