Job Title: Senior Developer (WordPress + Laravel)

Location: Kolkata (Onsite)

Experience: 5+ Years (including experience managing a team of at least 5 members)

Job Summary

Digitex Technologies is looking for an experienced Senior Developer with strong expertise in WordPress and Laravel to lead development projects and manage a small team. The ideal candidate should have a solid technical background, leadership skills, and the ability to deliver scalable, high-quality web applications, preferably for international clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of web applications using WordPress and Laravel
• Manage and mentor a team of at least 5 developers, ensuring productivity and code quality
• Architect scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions
• Customize WordPress themes, plugins, and build custom modules
• Develop robust backend systems using Laravel framework
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers, QA teams, and global stakeholders
• Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices
• Optimize applications for speed, performance, and SEO
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems
• Ensure timely delivery of projects and handle multiple tasks efficiently
  
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in web development
• Strong expertise in WordPress (theme & plugin development, REST APIs)
• Strong experience with Laravel Framework
• Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery
• Experience with Git or other version control systems
• Familiarity with API integrations and third-party services
• Knowledge of web security best practices
• Experience in performance optimization and caching techniques
• Mandatory experience working on international projects/clients (UK, USA, or other global markets)
  
  

Leadership & Team Management

• Proven experience managing a team of at least 4-5 developers
• Ability to assign tasks, monitor progress, and meet deadlines
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Good communication skills, especially in a global/client-facing environment
