ABOUT BIZFOC:
Bizfoc is a 100% paperless, IIM-L founder-led accounting & compliance firm with offices across Delhi, Noida, Gurugram, and Hyderabad. We help entrepreneurs and enterprises with company registration, GST, MCA/ROC filings, FEMA, ESOP, income tax, stock audits, and FSSAI licensing. THE ROLE:
As our first VP of Engineering, you will own everything technical — architecture, team, delivery, and product roadmap. You'll move fast using modern AI coding tools, work directly with the founders, and transform how Bizfoc delivers compliance at scale.
WHAT YOU'LL BUILD — KEY INITIATIVES:
• Client portal — A self-serve dashboard where clients track filings, upload documents, view timelines, and communicate with CAs in real time.
• MCA / ROC filing automation — End-to-end automation of Ministry of Corporate Affairs forms, due-date tracking, and status syncing.
• GST filing automation — Auto-generation of GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, reconciliation alerts, and ITC mismatch detection.
• AI for client communication — LLM-powered responses for inbound queries, follow-up nudges, and proactive compliance reminders.
• AI sales conversion engine — Lead scoring, automated qualification, and AI-assisted proposals to improve conversion from enquiry to engagement. • Internal ops tooling — Workflow automation, task assignment, and CA team productivity tools.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Set and own the full engineering roadmap aligned to business goals; report progress directly to founders. • Hire, mentor, and grow a lean, high-velocity engineering team (developers, QA, DevOps).
• Architect scalable systems on NodeJS and Laravel; make final technology decisions.
• Ship product fast using AI-assisted development tools — Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, and similar.
• Integrate with government APIs (GST portal, MCA21, TRACES) and third-party SaaS platforms.
• Ensure data security, privacy compliance (IT Act / DPDP Act), and uptime SLAs for all client-facing products.
• Drive AI/LLM adoption across client communication, filing workflows, and sales funnels.
• Establish engineering culture, code standards, CI/CD practices, and deployment workflows from scratch.
MUST-HAVES:
• 8+ years in software engineering with at least 3 years in a tech leadership role (Eng. Manager, Head of Engineering, or VP).
• Strong hands-on proficiency in NodeJS and Laravel (PHP) — you can review and write code, not just manage.
• Proven experience building and shipping SaaS products with real users in India.
• Demonstrated comfort using AI-assisted dev tools: Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, OpenAI Codex, or equivalent.
• Ability to rapidly prototype, iterate, and ship — short cycles, strong bias for action.
• Strong communication skills to translate CA/compliance requirements into clear engineering tasks.
NICE-TO-HAVES:
• Prior experience in LegalTech, FinTech, CA-tech, or compliance automation startups.
• Familiarity with GST portal APIs, MCA21 / V3 APIs, or TRACES integrations.
• Experience building AI agents, LLM pipelines, or RAG systems for business workflows.
• Working knowledge of React / Vue for frontend, MySQL / PostgreSQL, Redis, and cloud infra (AWS / GCP).
