Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop RESTful APIs using WSO2 API Manager (v4+)
- Manage the complete API lifecycle (design, publish, monitor, retire)
- Configure and manage API Gateway, Publisher, and Developer Portal
- Implement API security standards (OAuth2, JWT, throttling, CORS)
- Automate API deployments using CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab)
- Monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot APIs using tools like Splunk, AppDynamics, ElasticSearch
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for API-first integration design
- Optimize APIs for performance, scalability, and reliability
- Mentor junior developers and actively participate in Agile/Scrum practices
Required Skills (Must Have)
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with WSO2 API Manager
- Strong expertise in REST API design and development
- In-depth knowledge of API security (OAuth2, JWT, throttling)
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Git, Bitbucket, JFrog)
- Hands-on experience with API Gateway and lifecycle management
- Experience with monitoring tools (Splunk, ElasticSearch, AppDynamics)
- Strong understanding of microservices and integration patterns
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Good to Have Skills
- WSO2 Certification (Developer / Integration Specialist)
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and DevOps practices
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)
- Knowledge of event-driven architectures
- Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, and Agile methodologies
