Key Deliverables
(Essential Functions & Responsibilities of the Job)
- Lead the end-to-end design process for knit and woven categories across seasonal and core collections
- Develop seasonal concepts, mood boards, color palettes, and collection stories aligned with the Perona aesthetic
- Research global fashion, fabric, trim, silhouette, and lifestyle trends to create relevant and elevated product directions
- Design commercially strong yet design-forward collections with attention to detail, fit, construction, and finish
- Create detailed CADs, technical sketches, tech packs, and specifications for sampling and production
- Collaborate closely with sourcing, merchandising, and production teams to ensure smooth product development and execution
- Conduct fittings and oversee sample development to maintain quality and design integrity
- Experiment with fabrics, textures, washes, and finishes while maintaining brand consistency
- Work within timelines and seasonal calendars to ensure timely launches
- Mentor junior designers and contribute to strengthening the overall creative culture
Skills Required
- Strong understanding of knit and woven garment construction, fabric development, and finishing techniques
- Excellent design sensibility with a strong understanding of contemporary fashion and modern minimal aesthetics
- Proficiency in CAD, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and other relevant design tools
- Strong knowledge of tech pack creation and product development processes
- Ability to translate trends into commercially viable collections
- Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
- High attention to detail and strong execution capabilities
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple collections simultaneously
- Experience working with premium or contemporary fashion brands preferred
