Role Description
This is a full-time on-site Senior Designer role located in Mumbai at Kunal Rawal. The Senior Designer will be responsible for conceptualizing and developing couture collections aligned with the brand’s aesthetic, overseeing garment construction, and working closely with the sampling and production teams. The role requires strong pattern cutting knowledge to ensure precise fit, structure, and finish across all garments.
Qualifications and Skills
Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field is a must.
Experience:
Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience in luxury fashion, couture, or Indian occasion-wear. Strong hands-on experience in pattern cutting and garment construction is essential.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of garment construction, draping, and pattern cutting.
- Ability to develop and correct patterns to achieve desired fit and silhouette.
- Knowledge of fabrics, fall, structure, and finishing techniques.
- Ability to translate design concepts into technically sound and production-ready garments.
- Experience working closely with masterji, karigars, and sampling units.
- Strong aesthetic sense aligned with luxury couture standards.
- Ability to manage timelines and oversee multiple styles within collection deadlines.
- Attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills.
