Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Jewellery Designer to lead design development for international markets including the US, UK, and Europe. The role requires a strong understanding of global jewellery trends, customer preferences, and commercial design execution.
The designer will work in a team-based structure, where each design team supports dedicated customers, ensuring consistency, speed, and alignment with client expectations.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop commercial and trend-led jewellery designs aligned with US, UK, and European market preferences
• Work closely within a dedicated customer team, collaborating with merchandisers, sales, CAD, and production teams
• Translate customer briefs, mood boards, and trend insights into sellable, production-ready designs
• Lead and mentor junior designers within the team, ensuring quality and design consistency
• Create and review sketches, CAD concepts, and prototypes in collaboration with CAD and manufacturing teams
• Ensure designs meet costing, metal, stone, and manufacturing feasibility requirements
• Stay updated on global fashion, jewellery, and consumer trends, competitor offerings, and retail movements
• Support customer presentations, design reviews, and seasonal collection planning
• Maintain strong design documentation and ensure timely execution of design deliverables
• Travel internationally for jewellery exhibitions, customer meetings, and retail store visits to gain direct market insights and strengthen customer relationships

Required Skills & Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience in fine jewellery design (diamond and gemstone jewellery preferred)
• Strong exposure to US, UK, and European jewellery markets
• Proven experience working in a team-based, customer-aligned design structure
• Excellent understanding of commercial design, trend adaptation, and customer-specific aesthetics
• Proficiency in design tools such as hand sketching, Rhino/Matrix, or equivalent CAD coordination
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, metal properties, stone settings, and tolerances
• Ability to manage multiple customers and timelines simultaneously
• Strong communication skills for cross-functional and client-facing collaboration
