Job details:
Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Senior Design Verification Engineer role based in Ahmedabad. The role involves owning and driving functional and formal verification of complex RTL blocks and subsystems, including testbench development, test planning, coverage analysis, and closure. The engineer will design and implement verification environments, write and execute constrained-random and directed tests, and collaborate closely with RTL design, architecture, and validation teams to ensure robust silicon quality. Daily responsibilities include debugging simulation failures, root-causing RTL and testbench issues, reviewing design specifications and micro-architecture documents, and contributing to verification methodology improvements and automation. The role also requires mentoring junior engineers, participating in technical reviews, and aligning verification activities with project schedules and quality goals.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Functional Verification and Formal Verification, including testbench development, coverage-driven verification, and assertion-based verification.
- Solid hands-on experience with RTL Design and Computer Architecture, including understanding of pipelines, caches, bus protocols, and multicore or SoC architectures.
- Proficiency in Debugging complex simulation and emulation issues, using industry-standard tools and methodologies to identify and resolve design and verification problems.
- Experience with HDLs (such as Verilog/SystemVerilog), UVM or similar verification frameworks, and common EDA tools for simulation and formal analysis.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a related field, with significant experience in semiconductor design and verification.
- Ability to interpret architecture and design specifications, create structured verification plans, and work effectively in cross-functional engineering teams.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, commitment to quality, and a track record of ownership in silicon or ASIC/FPGA projects.
- Experience with advanced technology nodes, low-power design techniques, or high-speed interfaces is an advantage.
