Role Description The Senior Design Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Serilingampalli, responsible for leading the end-to-end design function for sliding wardrobes and related interior solutions. This position oversees the design team, reviews and approves design concepts, and ensures alignment with brand standards, manufacturing capabilities, and customer requirements. Day-to-day activities include coordinating with production, sales, and installation teams, translating client needs into detailed design specifications, and optimizing designs for feasibility, quality, and cost-effectiveness. The role involves setting design guidelines, mentoring designers, conducting design reviews, and collaborating with leadership on new product lines and innovation initiatives. The Senior Design Manager is expected to maintain strong communication with stakeholders, manage timelines, and ensure that all designs meet safety, functionality, and aesthetic goals.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in interior design or product design, preferably in wardrobes, furniture, or modular interiors.
- Proficiency with design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar tools) and ability to read and create technical drawings.
- Demonstrated experience leading design teams, managing workflows, and conducting structured design reviews.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with production, sales, and installation teams to ensure design feasibility and high-quality execution.
- Excellent visual, spatial, and aesthetic judgment, with a focus on functionality, user experience, and material optimization.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to present designs and justify design decisions to clients and internal teams.
- Experience working in a factory or manufacturing-led environment, with understanding of production processes and quality standards.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Interior Design, Product Design, Architecture, or a related field; advanced certifications in design or project management are an advantage.
- Proven track record in senior or lead design roles, ideally within modular furniture or wardrobe systems.
- Ability to work on-site in Serilingampalli, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
