The Role
We are looking for a Senior Engineer to lead our 4-member design team. This is a senior individual contributor and team leadership role; you will report directly to the Directors and be the primary technical authority within the design department.
You will be at the centre of our engineering and project delivery, from pre-order techno-commercial discussions to final design sign-off, coordinating closely with our sales and projects teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Our current work includes greenfield projects, full turnkey system design, and plant upgradation, primarily in ethanol, brewery, cement, and petrochemical sectors, with ongoing work across pharma, plastics, spices, flour, and agro-processing industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of 4 design engineers; set quality benchmarks and ensure timely engineering deliverables.
- Own end-to-end design of pneumatic conveying systems, dust collection systems, and bulk material handling solutions.
- Prepare and review GA drawings, fabrication drawings, layouts, and detailed engineering documentation.
- Conduct pre-project site visits to assess conditions, take measurements, and minimise surprises post design finalisation.
- Drive techno-commercial discussions with clients, communicate design intent, challenges, and solutions with clarity and confidence.
- Collaborate with Sales and Projects teams on BOM preparation, RFQs, project estimations, and techno-commercial reviews pre- and post-order acceptance.
- Coordinate with procurement and fabrication teams to ensure engineering outputs translate smoothly into execution.
- Ensure compliance, accuracy, and on-time delivery across all design outputs.
What We're Looking For
- 8–10 years of hands-on experience in pneumatic conveying, dust collection, or bulk material handling systems. This is non-negotiable.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory); working knowledge of SolidWorks or SolidEdge preferred.
- Experience with industries such as cement, steel, power (coal/ash), distillery, brewery, ethanol, pharma, plastics, pellets, spices, flour, petrochemicals, or agro-processing.
- Ability to independently handle projects end-to-end, from concept and design through to execution support.
- Proven ability to lead and mentor junior engineers; you take ownership and set the standard for the team.
- Confident in client-facing technical discussions. Be able to explain complex engineering in plain language and hold your ground in commercial conversations.
- Strong understanding of industrial layouts, ducting, piping, structural supports, and equipment integration.
- Comfortable with regular site visits as part of the pre-project process (approximately 50% travel, project-dependent).
- Excellent communication skills in English and Hindi; Marathi or other regional languages are a bonus.

Work Details
- Location: MIDC Bhosari, Pune, Maharashtra - full-time, on-site.
- Candidates must be able to reliably commute daily to Bhosari. Commute and accommodation are not provided by the company.
- Joining: Immediate to June-end preferred.
- Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or related engineering discipline preferred.
