Job details:
We are looking for 7-10 years of technically strong Senior Field Data Engineers (FDEs) with deep expertise in Databricks, Apache Spark, cloud data platforms and large-scale data migration.
The FDE will work closely with customers and technical stakeholders to understand data challenges, design solutions, execute migrations, build production-grade data integrations, troubleshoot complex technical issues and support successful implementation of Databricks-based solutions.
Experience- 7-10 Years

Key Skills & Experience Expected
Databricks is looking for technically strong Senior FDEs with experience in:
- Databricks and relevant certifications
- Strong cloud expertise
- Strong Apache Spark fundamentals and hands-on experience
- At least 4–5 Spark/data migration projects
- Spark-based migration experience
- Data integration, particularly production-grade integration
- Data architecture
- MLOps
- Genie and ML understanding
- GenAI capabilities, including RAG
- Strong troubleshooting and production implementation skills
Proposed Enablement & Assessment Process
The expected process discussed with Databricks is:
- 4-week technical enablement program to build and strengthen the required capabilities.
- Focused preparation across Spark, migration, architecture, data integration, and GenAI/RAG.
- Technical assessment with a strong focus on Apache Spark and migration experience.
- Additional skill-based assessments based on the role requirements.
- Technical discussion/interview covering:
- Advanced Spark
- Migration experience
- Data architecture
