Key Responsibilities
✔ Develop, optimize, and maintain SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases, queries, stored procedures, and functions.
✔ Administer databases including:
- Performance tuning
- Indexing
- Backup & Recovery
- Security & Access Control
- Capacity Planning
✔ Design and execute ETL scripts and support large-scale data migration activities.
✔ Design reusable database utilities and import templates.
✔ Support application upgrades and ensure database compatibility.
✔ Investigate and resolve database performance and data integrity issues.
✔ Conduct database health checks and query optimization.
✔ Document database architecture, schemas, and database changes.
✔ Collaborate closely with Architects, Developers, QA, and DevOps teams.
Required Skills & Experience
✅ 8+ years of hands-on experience as a Database Developer / DBA
✅ Expert knowledge of:
- Microsoft SQL Server
- PostgreSQL
✅ Strong experience in:
- SQL & Stored Procedures
- Query Optimization
- Performance Tuning
- ETL & Data Migration
- Database Administration
- Backup & Recovery
- Indexing & Security
- Multi-tenant Database Architecture
- Version Control
✅ Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills
⭐ AWS RDS or other Cloud Databases
⭐ Containerized Environments
⭐ Experience working on Payroll, Workforce Management, or SaaS products
