Job Title: Database Developer – Migration (Contract)

Key Responsibilities:
- Migrate databases from MS SQL Server to PostgreSQL.
- Write and optimize complex T-SQL and PL/pgSQL queries.
- Audit AI-generated SQL code for syntax, security, and performance issues.
- Analyze execution plans in PostgreSQL and tune queries for optimal performance.
- Work with dynamic SQL, complex data types, and set-based logic.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years in database development with deep expertise in MS SQL (T-SQL) and PostgreSQL (PL/pgSQL).
- Hands-on experience in database migration from MS SQL to PostgreSQL.
- Strong skills in performance tuning and query optimization.
- Ability to critically review code, including AI-generated scripts.
- Familiarity with advanced SQL concepts, dynamic SQL, and set-based operations.
Preferred:
- Experience with database auditing, security best practices, and large-scale data migrations.
