Role OverviewWe are looking for an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, maintain, and optimize large-scale database systems, including both RDBMS and Time Series databases.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in database architecture, performance tuning, security, high availability, and backup strategies, ensuring reliability and scalability of critical data systems.
Key Responsibilities- Configure, manage, and maintain database systems (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or Time Series DBs like QuestDB).
- Monitor database performance and implement optimization strategies.
- Work in real-time, high-throughput environments ensuring system efficiency.
- Design and implement database solutions for new applications.
- Collaborate with development teams for schema design, query optimization, and data migration.
- Perform routine maintenance including backup, recovery, and troubleshooting.
- Ensure seamless integration between databases and multiple applications.
- Maintain detailed documentation of database configurations and processes.
- Handle data migration across systems and environments.
Required Skills & Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- 7–8 years of hands-on experience as a DBA in production environments.
- Strong expertise in at least one RDBMS (Oracle / SQL Server / MySQL / PostgreSQL).
- Experience with Time Series Databases (e.g., QuestDB).
- Proficiency in performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing.
- Hands-on experience with backup, recovery, high availability, and replication techniques.
- Strong knowledge of PL/SQL, T-SQL, and Shell scripting.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS RDS, Azure SQL) and DevOps tools.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
Preferred Candidate Profile- Candidates based in Mumbai or nearby locations (North region preferred).
- Immediate joiners or candidates serving short notice (10–15 days).
- Experience working across cross-functional and distributed teams.
