About This Role
As a Senior Data Support & Integration Specialist, you will be an integral part of our support team, reporting to a Support Manager. Your role involves providing exceptional user support, troubleshooting operational issues, and ensuring the smooth functioning of integrations and any other specified products. You will work closely with stakeholders across the organization, maintain high-quality standards, and drive process improvements. This position requires strong communication and problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment, as well as step in as backup for the Support Manager when they are out of office.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries to retrieve, manipulate, and analyse data from multiple sources.
- Create and maintain stored procedures, functions, and complex SQL logic to support reporting and data integration needs.
- Provide production support for scheduled jobs, report refresh failures, and integration issues.
- Build and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards, including DAX measures, calculated columns, and data model relationships.
- Perform data transformations using Power Query, including merging/splitting, pivoting/unpivoting, grouping, and applying custom formulas.
- Develop and test API integrations (REST and SOAP), using tools such as Postman for validation and troubleshooting.
- Parse and work with JSON and XML data structures for integration and reporting purposes.
- Develop ETL workflows into target systems or data warehouses.
- Apply knowledge of data warehousing concepts, such as star and snowflake schema designs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, document technical details, and deliver actionable insights.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
- 4-5 years of experience in a techno-functional support role, preferably focused on integration development and middleware products
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Experience translating business requirements into technical specifications
- Experience with stakeholder management and communicating with clear, timely updates
- Strong cross-functional coordination skills to align with higher level technical teams to ensure resolution in timely maner
- Proficiency in managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines
Additional Requirements / Skills / Working Hours
- Experience supporting Oracle Unifier or other PMIS applications is a plus
- Ability to speak multiple languages is a plus
- Flexible working hours may be required to support global teams
