Role Description
Microsoft Fabric | Data Factory | Dataflows Gen2 | Lakehouse
We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer to design, build, deploy, and manage enterprise-scale data solutions using Microsoft Fabric. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Microsoft Fabric, SQL, and modern data engineering practices, with experience building scalable data pipelines, managing production environments, and collaborating directly with business and technical stakeholders.
You will play a key role in delivering end-to-end Microsoft Fabric solutions, including data ingestion, transformation, deployment automation, production support, and migration initiatives. This is a hands-on engineering role requiring ownership of the complete data lifecycle—from development through production operations.
Key responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data ingestion and transformation pipelines using Microsoft Fabric, including Data Factory Pipelines, Dataflows Gen2, Lakehouse, and Warehouse.
• Build, implement, and manage Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold) data layers to support enterprise reporting and analytics.
• Develop efficient and optimized SQL transformations for enterprise-scale datasets.
• Connect Microsoft Fabric to multiple source systems, including legacy BusinessObjects (BO) environments and other enterprise data sources.
• Own the complete deployment lifecycle, including development, testing, validation, and production releases using Fabric Deployment Pipelines.
• Configure and manage refresh schedules, monitoring, alerting, logging, and production support processes.
• Troubleshoot data pipeline failures, resolve production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive improvements.
• Manage Microsoft Fabric workspaces, security, permissions, governance, and environment configuration.
• Promote validated dataflows and data assets into production while ensuring reliability and data quality.
• Support report migration initiatives by providing clean, trusted, and production-ready datasets.
• Optimize data processing performance, reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.
• Work closely with business users, architects, BI developers, and client stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Participate in design discussions, code reviews, documentation, and implementation of engineering best practices.
