Kefilo is building a human transformation ecosystem focused on functional nutrition, preventive wellness, gut health and lifestyle redesign.
We are building beyond a traditional food-delivery model, with a focus on personalized nutrition, transformation programs, data-driven recommendations, customer intelligence and technology-enabled wellness.
Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist who can take ownership of the data science and AI function at Kefilo and help build systems for personalization, customer intelligence, nutrition analytics, transformation tracking and business decision-making.
This is an equity-based founding team opportunity for someone who wants to build meaningful data products from the ground up and work closely with the founder, nutrition, product, technology and business teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design data science frameworks for personalized nutrition, meal recommendations and customer segmentation.
- Build models to analyse customer health, nutrition, lifestyle, meal preferences, subscription behaviour and transformation data.
- Develop recommendation systems for meals, nutrition programs and personalized customer journeys.
- Build predictive models for customer acquisition, conversion, retention, churn and lifetime value.
- Create systems to measure and analyse customer transformation over time using structured data and defined KPIs.
- Develop dashboards and analytical models for business, operations, marketing, nutrition and customer success teams.
- Build data pipelines and structured datasets from customer, meal, subscription, nutrition and operational data.
- Use machine learning, statistical modelling and AI to identify patterns and generate actionable insights.
- Work with nutritionists and wellness experts to convert domain knowledge into structured parameters, models and recommendation systems.
- Research and experiment with AI/ML applications that can improve personalization, automation and customer experience.
- Establish data quality, experimentation and model evaluation frameworks as Kefilo's data ecosystem grows.
- Work closely with the technology team to integrate data models and AI capabilities into the Kefilo platform.
Ideal Candidate
- Strong experience in data science, machine learning, statistics and predictive modelling.
- Strong proficiency in Python, SQL and relevant data science/ML frameworks.
- Experience with recommendation systems, customer analytics, forecasting, segmentation or personalization.
- Strong understanding of statistical analysis, experimentation and model evaluation.
- Experience working with consumer, D2C, food, nutrition, healthcare or wellness data is an advantage.
- Ability to work with incomplete or unstructured datasets and build systems from scratch.
- Strong research mindset and interest in AI, personalized nutrition and preventive wellness.
- Ability to communicate technical insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong ownership mindset and willingness to work in an early-stage startup environment.

This is an equity-only opportunity with no fixed salary at the current stage.
The expected contribution is 20–25 hours per week on a remote, part-time basis. We are looking for someone interested in building long-term value and taking ownership of a critical function rather than working only on assigned tasks.
The founder onboarding process includes 3–4 strategic discussions followed by a 1-month NDA-based collaboration phase to evaluate technical capability, ownership, execution and long-term alignment.
Equity will be structured based on contribution, responsibility and commitment, with a 5-year vesting structure for core founding members.
Fixed compensation will be introduced after fundraising and revenue stabilization.
