About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge data-driven projects within the healthcare and digital marketing sectors. As a Senior Data Scientist at NorthStar HR Consultants, you will collaborate with global teams based in New York, India, and Bosnia to develop and implement advanced predictive models that influence strategic decision-making. Your expertise will be instrumental in analyzing complex datasets, deriving actionable insights, and deploying scalable solutions that enhance campaign effectiveness and improve patient outcomes. The ideal candidate will be passionate about leveraging machine learning, statistical analysis, and data engineering to solve challenging problems and contribute to the growth of our innovative projects.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background and relevant experience, including:
- A Bachelor's degree in STEM fields such as Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Biostatistics, Econometrics, Economics, Finance, or Data Science. A Master’s or PhD qualification is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a Data Scientist or Researcher, preferably within digital marketing, consumer advertising, telecommunications, or healthcare analytics.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis and machine learning techniques using Python, with expertise in libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
- Hands-on experience with data processing, transformation, and building model pipelines using tools like Spark, Airflow, and Docker.
- Knowledge of the ad-tech ecosystem, digital marketing, advertising data, and campaigns, or familiarity with US healthcare systems, including medical claims and patient data.
- Experience with various predictive modeling techniques, including deep learning, boosting algorithms, and inference methods.
- Strong coding skills to develop production-level code and experience working with version control systems such as Git.
- Active participation in Kaggle competitions or similar data science communities is a plus.
- Experience working with SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Understanding of healthcare data, including medical claims and prescriptions, is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud for deploying and managing data science solutions.
Responsibilities
The Senior Data Scientist will be responsible for a broad range of activities, including:
- Designing, developing, and deploying advanced predictive models to optimize campaign performance and patient engagement.
- Analyzing diverse datasets such as medical claims, clinical, demographic, and clickstream data to generate actionable insights.
- Implementing statistical, inference, and machine learning techniques to enhance existing algorithms and decision heuristics.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams across different geographies to align data science initiatives with business objectives.
- Leading efforts in data exploration, feature engineering, and model validation to ensure robustness and accuracy.
- Reading and interpreting campaign results, medical data, and patient journey metrics to inform strategic decisions.
- Developing scalable, production-ready code and maintaining data pipelines using modern tools and frameworks.
- Presenting findings and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through reports, dashboards, and presentations.
- Contributing thought leadership by writing technical blogs and participating in community forums to share knowledge and innovations.
