About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist with strong expertise in recommendation systems, personalization, and machine learning at scale. In this role, you will work on large-scale datasets to build intelligent solutions that enhance customer journeys across web and mobile platforms.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s/Master’s/PhD in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years of experience delivering data-driven insights and ML solutions impacting business outcomes
- Hands-on expertise in building recommendation and personalization systems at scale
- Strong experience with Big Data technologies (Hive, Spark) and Cloud platforms (AWS/GCP)
- Proven experience handling large-scale datasets (1TB+) and high-dimensional data
- Strong knowledge of machine learning techniques:
-> Regression (Linear, Logistic, Multinomial)
-> Clustering (K-Means, Hierarchical)
-> Decision Trees (RF, GBM, XGBoost)
-> PCA, Time Series, Bayesian methods, Deep Learning
- Experience with NLP & LLMs (Hugging Face, OpenAI, Gemini, LangChain, etc.)
- Strong programming skills in Python / R / Spark / SQL
- Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and business storytelling
- Detail-oriented with strong ownership and problem-solving mindset
Key Responsibilities
Core Data Science
- Collect, clean, and process large datasets ensuring data quality
- Build and deploy scalable machine learning models
- Perform statistical analysis to derive actionable insights
- Develop visualizations and communicate findings to stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve business problems
Organizational & Leadership
- Build strong relationships across teams and stakeholders
- Influence decision-making in complex technical environments
- Manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively
- Work independently and mentor team members when required
Required Experience:
- Strong expertise in predictive modeling and machine learning
- Experience in consumer, retail, e-commerce, telecom, or financial domains
- Hands-on experience with:
- R (mandatory), Python/Spark (preferred)
- Hive, Impala, SQL
- Cloud platforms (GCP preferred / AWS / Azure / Databricks)
- Experience with Hadoop ecosystem and large-scale data processing
- Prior work in recommendation systems and personalization engines
