Job Title: Senior Data Engineer
Work Mode: Work From Office (WFO)
Notice Period: Immediate to 30 days
Role Overview
We are hiring on behalf of our client for a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines, modernize legacy systems, and work on end-to-end data workflows using the Databricks platform and PySpark.
Must-Have Requirements
Candidates must meet all of the following criteria:
- Mandatory Certification (at least one): Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate OR Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional
- Minimum 5 years of experience in data engineering or related roles
- At least 2–3 years of hands-on experience with the Databricks platform
- Strong Python programming skills for data processing and automation
- Proven hands-on experience developing data pipelines using PySpark, including DataFrames API, Spark SQL, and performance optimization
- Proven track record of refactoring legacy code to modern frameworks
- Background working across multiple data sources and formats
- Experience working in agile development environments
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills (client-facing role)
- Job stability – minimum 2 years of continuous employment in a single organization
Additional Information
- Local candidates are preferred
- Selected candidate will be required to travel to Singapore within 30–45 days of onboarding
- Interview process: 2 technical rounds + 1 client round + HR discussion
