Role Description The Senior Data Engineer will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures that support analytics, reporting, and data-driven decision-making across Lexes Technologies. This full-time, on-site role is based in Gurugram and involves working closely with product, engineering, and business teams to understand data needs and translate them into robust technical solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing and optimizing ETL/ELT processes, managing data warehousing solutions, ensuring data quality and reliability, and integrating data from multiple internal and external sources. The role also includes monitoring data infrastructure performance, enhancing security and governance, documenting data models and processes, and mentoring junior data team members. A successful candidate will contribute to building a modern data ecosystem that supports both Recruitment Solutions and Learning & Development initiatives.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong data engineering skills, including experience with ETL/ELT workflows, data pipelines, and data integration across multiple systems.
- Candidates should possess experience with databases and data storage, such as relational databases, data warehouses, and modern data lake or lakehouse architectures.
- Candidates should possess advanced programming and scripting skills for data engineering, preferably in languages such as Python, SQL, or similar technologies.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of cloud platforms and related data services (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) and familiarity with containerization or orchestration tools.
- Candidates should possess skills in data modeling, performance optimization, and data quality practices, including validation, monitoring, and governance.
- Candidates should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams and mentor junior data professionals.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, and prior experience in a senior or lead data engineering role is highly beneficial.
