Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer with strong expertise in Databricks and Python to join our growing data engineering team. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and cloud-based data solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including architects, product owners, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data engineering solutions.
- Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Databricks and Python.
- Work with Azure cloud services such as Azure Data Factory, ADLS, and SQL DB.
- Collaborate with Scrum teams, product owners, and technical stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot production issues and ensure platform stability and performance.
- Participate in all phases of the SDLC including analysis, development, testing, deployment, and support.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and best practices.
- Recommend improvements, upgrades, and architectural solutions for data platforms.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Databricks and Python (mandatory).
- Expertise in SQL and database technologies.
- Experience with Azure Data Services such as: Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS) and Azure SQL DB.
- Knowledge of CI/CD and code management tools like Azure DevOps or GitHub.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Good To Have
- Experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB.
- Exposure to IoT Data Standards such as Project Haystack, Brick Schema, or Real Estate Core.
Qualification
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related STEM field preferred.
