Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on Data Engineering experience
- Strong experience with AWS services such as S3, IAM, Glue, EMR/EKS/ECS, Lambda, Redshift, CloudWatch
- Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL
- Experience with Airflow and distributed systems like Hive, Presto, or Trino
- Strong understanding of data lake and warehouse architectures such as Delta Lake, Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift
- Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT, data modelling, and orchestration patterns
- Exposure to streaming systems like Kafka, Kinesis, Spark Streaming, or Flink
- Experience with CI/CD, Docker, and Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform
- Strong ownership mindset and ability to manage systems end-to-end
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate production-grade data pipelines for analytics, modelling, dashboards, and reporting
- Integrate and standardize data from multiple sources with consistent identifiers
- Create and maintain trusted datasets and data marts for repeated use
- Ensure reliability through monitoring, SLAs, and pipeline performance tuning
- Own and improve AWS-based data architecture with focus on security, scalability, and cost optimization
- Implement data governance, access controls, lineage, and auditability
- Set engineering standards through code reviews, testing, documentation, and runbooks
- Mentor junior data engineers and support team growth
- Partner with analysts and stakeholders to define consistent metrics and datasets
