Your future duties and responsibilities
Data Strategy Development:
Define and implement the organization's data architecture strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and scalability requirements.
Architectural Design:
Design robust and scalable data architectures, including data lakes, warehouses, and streaming platforms, to meet analytics and operational needs.
Data Integration:
Develop solutions for integrating structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data from diverse sources into a unified data platform.
Governance and Security:
Establish and enforce data governance policies, security protocols, and compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
Collaboration with Stakeholders:
Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business teams to translate business requirements into architectural blueprints.
Performance Optimization:
Evaluate and optimize database and data pipeline performance to handle high-velocity, high-volume data.
Emerging Technologies:
Stay updated on the latest trends in data technologies (e.g., AI, machine learning, real-time analytics) and recommend their adoption were beneficial.
Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role
Core Data Architecture Skills: Proficiency in designing data models (conceptual, logical, and physical).
Hands-on experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL) and modern data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).
Expertise in data integration tools and frameworks (e.g., Apache Kafka, Apache NiFi, Informatica).
Cloud Expertise: Deep knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, including their data services (e.g., AWS Glue, Azure Synapse, GCP BigQuery). Experience with cloud-native data solutions and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform).
Data Governance: Understanding of metadata management, master data management (MDM), and data cataloging tools (e.g., Alation, Collibra). Strong grasp of data security and compliance standards.
Big Data and Analytics: Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and distributed systems. Knowledge of real-time processing frameworks (e.g., Apache Flink, Storm).
Strong leadership and communication skills for working with stakeholders at all levels. Problem-solving mindset with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
