Position Description: We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Data Engineer with strong expertise in Python, Databricks, Spark, SQL, AWS, and ETL technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering business-critical functionality, migrating on-premise data solutions to AWS cloud, and engineering scalable, high-performance data platforms aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
Your future duties and responsibilities
This role requires hands-on technical leadership, strong data engineering fundamentals, and the ability to collaborate in a fast-paced Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Be accountable for end-to-end delivery of business functionality.
- Migrate and re-engineer data and applications from on-premise systems to AWS Cloud.
- Design and develop enterprise-grade data engineering solutions aligned with architecture standards.
- Develop automated testing solutions between systems.
- Perform peer code reviews, manage merge requests, and handle production releases.
- Implement design and functionality using Agile methodologies.
- Ensure high standards of code quality and data quality monitoring.
- Monitor data pipelines to proactively identify issues before business impact.
- Collaborate within a high-performing team environment.
- Drive innovation beyond traditional architecture/software patterns.
- Take ownership and accountability for deliverables.
- Champion new ideas and continuously improve processes.
Required Experience
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
- 5–8 years of experience in application and data program development.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions.
- Experience working with large-scale distributed data systems.
- Hands-on experience with databases larger than 5TB.
- Strong data analysis and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
- Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) / Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).
- Experience with Spark and real-time analytic frameworks.
Preferred / Desired Experience
- Experience in healthcare information domains.
- Experience in business intelligence or analytics development on large-scale projects.
- Experience working with real-time streaming frameworks.
- Experience designing scalable enterprise data architectures.
