Job description
We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to help build and maintain a robust, scalable data ecosystem. In this role, you will design and manage data pipelines that ensure reliable data flow from source systems into the data warehouse, enabling stakeholders to access accurate and actionable insights.
The ideal candidate is passionate about transforming raw data into structured, high-quality datasets and has strong experience working with modern data stack tools and cloud-based data platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable ELT/ETL pipelines using Python to ingest data from various internal and external sources.
Utilize dbt (data build tool) to transform raw warehouse data into well-structured, documented, and tested production-ready tables.
Manage and optimize Amazon Redshift environments to ensure performance, cost efficiency, and reliability, including implementing best practices such as distribution keys, sort keys, and vacuuming strategies.
- Business Intelligence Support
Collaborate with analysts to ensure Amazon QuickSight dashboards are powered by reliable, well-structured, and highly available datasets.
- Data Quality & Monitoring
Implement automated testing and monitoring processes to maintain strong data integrity and observability across the entire data lifecycle.
Maintain and version-control data models and infrastructure to ensure consistent and reproducible environments across development and production.
Qualifications & Skills
Proficiency in Python for data processing and automation (pandas, requests) along with advanced SQL skills for complex analytical queries.
Hands-on experience with DBT Cloud or DBT Core, including macros, seeds, and snapshot management.
Practical experience working with Amazon Redshift, particularly in performance tuning and cluster management.
Experience preparing clean and structured data models that support Amazon QuickSight dashboards, executive reporting, and self-service analytics.
