Role: Data Engineer (Senior Level)
Position Type: Full-Time Contract (40hrs/week)
Contract Duration: 6 Months+
Location: 100% Remote
We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to support a large-scale enterprise data platform modernization initiative. This role focuses on building scalable cloud-native data pipelines, processing large datasets, and enabling reliable analytics and downstream data consumption.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines
- Develop ingestion, transformation, and integration workflows for large-scale datasets
- Support cloud-native data platform modernization initiatives
- Optimize data quality, reliability, and performance across enterprise systems
- Work with structured and semi-structured data in distributed environments
- Collaborate with architects, platform engineers, and analytics teams
- Support real-time or streaming data integrations
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Python and SQL
- Experience building enterprise-scale data pipelines and data warehousing solutions
- Experience with Airflow or Cloud Composer (GCP)
- Experience working in AWS or GCP cloud environments
- Experience with large-scale distributed data processing
- Strong understanding of cloud-native data architectures
Nice-to-Have
- Apache Spark
- Kafka or event streaming platforms
- dbt
- Experience with enterprise data migrations or modernization projects
- Exposure to AI productivity tools such as Claude
