The
Senior Data Delivery Specialist is responsible for ensuring that all engineering and product data produced in PEC delivery projects is collected, validated, structured, and delivered to customers in agreed formats and schedules. The role acts as the central coordinator for data requirements, data quality, and data transfer workflows between engineering teams, suppliers, project management, and customer digital platforms.
This position ensures that Valmet delivers high‑quality, contractually compliant data that enables customer digital twins, maintenance systems, authorities’ documentation, and other downstream use cases.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Collection & Coordination
- Coordinate engineering, supplier, and project data collection across all disciplines (Process, Mechanical, EI&C, Plant Engineering).
- Maintain clarity on what data is required, from whom, in what format, and by when.
- Serve as the single point of contact for project data inquiries from internal teams or customers.
- Work closely with engineering discipline leads, Engineering application specialists, and customer data owners to ensure smooth data flow.
- Data Quality Assurance
- Validate data for accuracy, completeness, metadata, versioning, and contractual compliance prior to delivery.
- Ensure consistency with Valmet templates and data standards (e.g., naming conventions, structured attributes, revision control).
- Identify data quality gaps and drive corrective actions with responsible parties.
- Support development and continuous improvement of quality checks and automated validation scripts.
- Customer Data Delivery
- Deliver engineering and as‑built data to customer platforms in agreed structures (Excel/XML/COMOS packages/3DX exports/etc.) and schedules.
- Coordinate customer‑specific requirements for data formats (e.g., maintenance objects, spare part data, LCA/CRA/PFAS documentation).
- Ensure delivery packages contain the required data and material.
- Manage re-deliveries, updates, and version-controlled corrections.
- Data Delivery Ownership
- Maintain project‑level data delivery plans, schedules, and progress monitoring.
- Facilitate alignment between engineering, project management, quality, and suppliers to ensure end-to-end data readiness.
- Support continuous development of PEC-wide data delivery processes and E2E data model practices.
- Participate in workshops, customer requirement reviews, and internal data governance activities.
- Tools & Systems
- Work with COMOS, E3D, 3DX, M‑Files, ERP interfaces, and customer-specific data transfer systems.
- Support the configuration, extraction, and transformation of engineering data from these systems.
- Collaborate with tool owners and engineering disciplines and to develop tools and data platforms and automation as well as produce data- and solution architectural documentation.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Information Management, Industrial Data Systems, or related field.
Experience & Expertise
- Strong background in engineering data, plant engineering tools, or technical project execution.
- Experience with data validation, structured data models, or integration to customer systems.
- Familiarity with COMOS, 3DX, engineering document structures, or equipment data hierarchies is an advantage.
- Experience in pulp & energy projects is beneficial.
