About the Role
The
Senior Data Analyst will be part of Marketing Analytics in Data & Analytics Office, responsible for implementing and enhancing the bank’s data governance framework. This role focuses on improving data quality, establishing standards and metrics, and aligning data management practices with regulatory requirements. A key aspect of the role is understanding data lineage—how data is produced, managed, and consumed across the bank’s business processes and systems.
Key Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data from multiple sources.
- Identify and scope business requirements and priorities through rigorous analysis and stakeholder engagement.
- Monitor and integrate emerging technology trends and advancements in data analytics.
- Design and create data structure and flows to support both structured and unstructured data requirements.
- Develop advanced data models, algorithms, and statistical analyses to uncover insights and trends.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
- Collect, clean, and organize data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Conduct statistical analysis and create visualizations to present findings in a clear, actionable manner
- Support ongoing monitoring of business performance through regular reporting and ad-hoc analysis.
- Implement guidelines and processes for data handling across its lifecycle, ensuring compliance and governance.
- Design solution blueprints to guide the development of technical solutions aligned with business goals.
- Manage stakeholder expectations by aligning analytics outcomes with organizational objectives.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior analysts
- Develop test strategies and procedures to validate solution performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Identify and evaluate opportunities for digitization and innovation using advancements in data and analytics.
- Apply analytical tools and advanced computational methods to enable systems to learn, adapt, and deliver desired outcomes.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Apply domain knowledge from the banking industry to contextualize data governance practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of data governance initiatives with business goals.
What We Are Looking For
Education
- Graduation: Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) OR Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) OR Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA)
- Post-Graduation: Master of Science (M.Sc, OR Master of Technology (M.Tech) OR Master of Computer Applications (MCA)
Experience
- 4+ years of experience in data governance, preferably within the banking domain.
Skills and Attributes
- Deep expertise in data governance frameworks and data quality management.
- Hands-on experience with metadata management tools and technologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to design and implement monitoring mechanisms and dashboards.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proven ability to drive data literacy and foster a data-driven culture.
