Job Summary
We are looking for a
Senior Data Analyst – Data Governance & Data Quality to strengthen our organization’s data governance framework and ensure high standards of data integrity, reliability, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have strong
SQL expertise, hands-on experience with
data quality frameworks, and the ability to work closely with business and technical teams to implement scalable governance practices.
This role requires a structured thinker with strong ownership who can translate governance requirements into
sustainable data management solutions within an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead data quality initiatives by defining, implementing, and monitoring data quality rules, controls, and KPIs.
- Identify data issues, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with data engineering and business teams to implement remediation plans.
- Develop and maintain data governance documentation, including data dictionaries, data lineage, business glossaries, standards, and policies.
- Partner with stakeholders to define data standards, critical data elements (CDEs), and quality thresholds.
- Support and contribute to Data Governance frameworks, forums, and operating models.
- Ensure data compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Write complex SQL queries to profile, validate, and analyze datasets.
- Work within Agile development methodologies, participating in sprint planning and backlog refinement.
- Provide reliable and well-documented data insights for ad hoc business requests.
- Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure alignment and clarity.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
- Strong SQL expertise including joins, aggregations, data profiling, and query optimization.
- Proven experience with Data Governance and Data Quality frameworks.
- Hands-on experience leading data quality initiatives end-to-end.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and ownership mindset.
- Experience creating data standards, policies, and governance documentation.
